Motocross fans, get ready — Infront Moto Racing has officially locked in three more years of adrenaline-pumping action at the legendary Kegums circuit, ensuring that the MXGP of Latvia remains a powerhouse on the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar through 2029!
The exciting announcement was made during the 2025 MXGP of Finland, where a new agreement was signed by a dream team of global motocross leaders: Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo, FIM/CMS Director Antonio Alia Portela, and MXGP of Latvia organizer Kristers Sergis. Their joint commitment means Latvian motocross fans can look forward to more world-class racing for years to come — and so can the rest of the world.
Latvia: A Motocross Nation
Kegums isn’t just another venue — it’s an icon. Its motocross legacy began in 2005, when it hosted its first FIM Grand Prix as part of the MX3 World Championship. Just four years later, it became a full-time stop on the premier MXGP calendar, and has remained a fan and rider favorite ever since.
From a fully equipped paddock and cutting-edge watering system to a track that evolves year after year, Kegums has consistently raised the bar. With dramatic layout changes, revamped jumps, and even reversed riding directions, it remains one of the most exciting circuits on the tour.
And it’s not just about the track. Latvia has become a hotbed of motocross talent, producing elite riders like Pauls Jonass, Karlis and Janis Reisulis, and rising star Patricks Cirulis, the Junior 65cc World Cup champion. The next wave of Latvian racers is already making noise in the European Championships — and this deal will only fuel their rise.

David Luongo – CEO, Infront Moto Racing
“Kegums has always been ahead of its time — modern facilities, excellent organization, and a fantastic track that we’ve continued to evolve together. It’s a historic Grand Prix with deep collaboration between the national federation and the government. We’re proud to extend this partnership for three more years!”
Antonio Alia Portela – FIM/CMS Director
“This renewal brings great stability to the MXGP series. Kristers and the Latvian team have shown incredible dedication, especially during tough times like COVID, when they hosted three consecutive events. The improvements in safety and spectacle are top-tier, and we deeply appreciate their ongoing support.”
Kristers Sergis – MXGP of Latvia Organizer
“Latvia lives and breathes motocross. We’ve got a generation of strong riders now, and we know more are coming. With government backing and a passionate team, this deal helps us push the event — and the sport — even further.”
The MXGP of Latvia isn’t just staying — it’s gearing up for even greater heights. With the future locked in, fans can expect thrilling races, rising stars, and unforgettable moments in Kegums for seasons to come.
