The roar of the crowd. The grind of dirt. The heat rising from Spring Creek. It wasn’t just another race weekend — it was a proving ground for Haiden Deegan.
After a tough hit the previous weekend, all eyes were on the reigning SMX Supercross and Motocross champ as he rolled in. It’s more than just a track — it’s home turf. And if you’ve got anything to prove, there’s no better place to do it.
Despite not riding much during the week due to a nagging leg injury, Deegan wasted no time reminding everyone who he is. In Qualifying 1, he came out swinging — throwing down his fastest lap on his first go. And just to prove it wasn’t a fluke, his final lap? Even faster. That kind of raw, consistent speed had the crew fired up.
Redemption weekend was off to a good start.
As the motos began, you could feel the tension. The track was fast but technical, ruts getting deeper with every lap. Haden didn’t get the cleanest start, but it didn’t matter. He sliced through the pack, hunting down Shimoda in Moto 1, not once — but twice — making critical passes with surgical precision.
Every bump, every corner was a battle — not just with his competitors, but with his own pain. “The pain is what it is,” Deegan said afterward, “but I couldn’t let him beat me.”
He didn’t.
Moto 1 ended with Deegan out front.
Moto 2 brought more fireworks. Once again, the #38 found his rhythm, launching out of the gate and settling into his groove. The race tightened, but Haiden was locked in — pushing through discomfort, riding with grit, and showing championship composure.
By the day’s end, Deegan had clinched the 1-1 sweep, sealing a statement victory at Spring Creek. From rough starts to roaring finishes, he proved what being a champion really means — grit, resilience, and never backing down when it counts.
It was a hard-fought win.
Back to work next week. But for now? The mission was clear. Redemption: complete.
